Letter to the legislature of New York State complaining that while provision was made for the artillery regiment and two infantry regiments by a law passed on 13 April 1782, general officers who served in the war had not been properly recognized by payment for their duty. He argues that other states had given proper recognition to their officers first. He also mentions General Clinton and other aides as desiring similar attention. Written at New York, N.Y.
